If you woke up in Thumperville (Hutchinson, Ks.) this morning and thought you heard thunder, it was just Jack, Jim, and myself (Motor Mike) THUMP.......THUMP.......THUMPIN out of town. The skies were ominous looking, therefore we rode south for quite a while before turning west, just to stay dry, and we succeeded. We ended up riding about 440 miles today, arriving in Dalhart Texas about 5:30 p.m.
Not only was it really windy today, but the temperature variations were crazy. One minute it was 70*, then it jumped to 80*. Shortly thereafter we hit cool air and the temperature dropped 20* in a period of 3-5 minutes. All in all it was a great ride.
Tomorrow we head for Taos New Mexico.
Talk to you then.
